Six Nations sets up online booking system for COVID-19 tests

Six Nations of the Grand River is implementing an online booking system allowing community members to schedule COVID-19 tests.
Though people will still be able to call in to schedule a test, Six Nations says it's encouraging people to use the system. This will free up staff to help with contact tracing and follow-up calls for people dealing with COVID-19, says a media release.
"This new feature will eliminate the need for more call-centre nursing staff, ultimately freeing up the valuable nursing power to redirect their attention towards other COVID-19 assessment centre matters," the release said.
The process to book a test is five steps. It launches this week on the Six Nations of the Grand River website.
Six Nations says community members who are unable to access online booking can call the assessment centre at 1-855-977-7737 or 226-446-9909.
There are eight active COVID-19 cases in Six Nations as of Jan 2. There have been 113 total cases, and one person has died.
Six Nations has placed itself in red level four in its colour-coded COVID-19 system. This indicates a "high risk" of spreading the virus.
The release also says the centre's road map has been changed to make it more efficient. People are asked to enter the parks and recreation grounds for testing via Lawrence Jonathan Lane, instead of the Fourth Line entrance.
