We asked Calgarians to share some of their favourite photography work with us for the potential to be showcased in a gallery at the Create Space house inside the Calgary Central Library.
The #CBCCalgary Snapshot Series featured there is meant to be a reflection of the everyday people, places and things that make up our city and a chance for you to connect and share with other creatives in the city. It's part of CBC Calgary's ongoing partnership with the Calgary Public Library.
Scroll down to see some of the submissions we received from students, self-described amateurs who are just beginning to build their portfolio, as well as passionate pursuers of the perfect picture.
"Photography teaches me that when it is dark, all I need do is adjust some settings, and there is light," wrote participant Lee Horbachewski, whose photo is below. "[These] past six months, it has been my saving grace."
