25 classrooms have been temporarily closed
Centennial Collegiate is moving to online learning starting Thursday due to COVID-19.
A news release from the Saskatoon Public Schools says there have been 16 positive cases to date, which has led to 25 classes being temporarily closed.
"The numerous disruptions have made it difficult for staff to deliver instruction for all students," the release said.
Classes will run as scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday while teachers and students prepare to move online, and the Saskatchewan Health Authority will continue to monitor and support the school.
In-class learning is expected to continue on Jan. 4.
Since the start of the school year, Saskatoon Public Schools has had 96 positive cases at 36 locations in the division – 35 schools and the board office, according to the news release.
