Kitchener South-Hespeler MP Marwan Tabbara's case will be back in court at the end of November.
During an Ontario Court of Justice Zoom call Friday, the matter was briefly spoken to and put over until November 20. Lawyer Alexa Ferguson appeared on Tabbara's behalf and said the four weeks would allow time to continue discussions with the assigned Crown attorney.
Tabbara has been charged with two counts of assault, one count of break-and-enter and commit an indictable offence, and one count of criminal harassment. He was arrested on April 9.
Tabbara has since stepped down from the Liberal caucus but still sits as an independent member of Parliament.
