Parents and students at Saskatoon's Evan Hardy Collegiate are being notified after a positive case of COVID-19 was identified.
Parents were sent a letter on Tuesday stating the school had been informed about an individual who had tested positive. The letter does not say if the person was a teacher, student or staff member.
Anyone who was in close contact with the person will be contacted by public health and given further instruction.
Classes at the high school will remain open for students. The letter says caretakers have sanitized and disinfected all areas where the person may have been.
The letter said the school is practicing hand hygiene, wearing masks and social distancing when possible to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Anyone going to schools are asked to monitor for signs of COVID-19 and to stay at home if they have symptoms. The person should call HealthLine 811 and arrange for a test.
Earlier this month, an outbreak was declared by the Saskatchewan Health Authority at Holy Cross High School after four cases were discovered.
