Nova Scotia&nbsp;reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority did not identify any new cases among the 836 tests completed on Tuesday, according to a news release from the province. To date, the overall number of negative test results is 98,704.

There have been 1,089 positive COVID-19 cases and 65 deaths in the province since March.

Three active cases remain in Nova Scotia. One person is currently in intensive care.

It's been five days since the latest case was announced last Friday. It was identified in the province's central zone and is related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada.&nbsp;

The latest numbers from around the Atlantic bubble are:

 reported 17 new cases of COVID-19&nbsp;Wednesday, bringing the province's number of active cases up to 22.&nbsp;

 reported no new cases on Wednesday. The province has four active cases.&nbsp;

reported no new&nbsp;cases on Tuesday. The province has three active cases.

Despite the increase in cases in New Brunswick, a spokesperson for the Nova Scotia government said the province has no intention of changing its border protocols.at this time.

It's been almost nine years since there was settlement in the Kitec plumbing class action lawsuit, but claimants are still waiting to learn how much, if anything, they will receive in compensation.

Liberals' 2021 single-use plastic ban includes grocery bags, takeout containers

The end is coming for plastic grocery bags, straws and cutlery after the federal government announced today which single-use plastics will be covered by a national ban coming into effect next year.

As of August 19, a ban on plastic bags and styrofoam containers is in effect in the largest Quebec Cree community of Chisasibi.  The hope is the move will help protect the environment and inspire other Cree communities.

RCMP probe financial collapse of N.S. law firm Boudrot Rodgers

Nova Scotia RCMP have been investigating the financial collapse of a Port Hawkesbury law firm for nearly two years, following the disclosure that a partner at Boudrot Rodgers had stolen tens of thousands of dollars from client trust funds.
