Niagara region has 10 school-related COVID-19 cases

A high school in St. Catharines and French elementary school in Welland have 1 student case each
Two students in the Niagara region have tested positive for COVID-19.
Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School on Glen Morris Drive in St. Catharines reported the case late Monday.
It also closed a classroom because of the new case.
The District School Board of Niagara tweeted about the incident at 8:51 p.m.

"Following protocol, students and staff who were in close proximity to the individual will be contacted and advised by Niagara Region Public Health as needed," read the tweet.
"Also following protocol, the school is being thoroughly cleaned and public health will do a comprehensive on-site assessment at the school. We will continue working closely with public health to ensure the school meets all health and safety protocols required."
The school remains open.

French elementary school has case
École élémentaire catholique du Sacré-Coeur in Welland (Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School) has also reported a student case of COVID-19.
It has also closed a classroom due to the incident according to the school board, Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir (MonAvenir Catholic School Board).
The school remains open.
That means there are 10 school-related COVID-19 case in the Niagara region.
