A 10-year-old girl who went missing from the North End last week has been found safe, Winnipeg police say.

The police service had issued a news release on Sept. 25, asking the public to keep an eye out for the girl, who went missing the previous evening in the city's North End.

Police believed she was still in the neighbourhood somewhere&nbsp;but did not elaborate, only saying they were concerned about her&nbsp;well-being.

An update from police on Monday said&nbsp;the girl was found and is safe. No other information was provided.

A previous version of this story contained the girl's name and photo. Those have been&nbsp;removed to protect her identity because she is a minor.

Fatal ATV crash considered suspicious, Manitoba RCMP say

Police are not saying why it is considered suspicious but noted they have received several calls asking about a manhunt related to the incident.

Police and first responders are on the scene of a motor vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway, east of Salmonier Line.

Officers were called around 2:30 p.m. Thursday about the crash on Highway 489 near Highway 271, between Lake Winnipegosis and Duck Mountain Provincial Park.
