Environment Canada has ended a severe thunderstorm warning for Prince County.

The weather service ended the&nbsp;warning&nbsp;at 7:12 p.m. AT.

Both the SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING and WATCH have ENDED for Prince County (as of 7:15 p.m. ADT). Whew! Still a chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms tonight as a cold front moves through so keep an ear to the sky and your phone handy. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Heat warnings remain for all parts of P.E.I.

COVID-19 crisis puts affordable housing loans on pause

Employees the Prince Edward Island government had assigned to the Affordable Housing Development Program were reassigned 'to focus on the essential services that we have to provide.'

Workers building homes on Prince Edward Island are putting in long hours during the summer construction season to meet the Island's housing demand.

Developers of affordable housing units were being offered forgivable loans of $45,000 per unit before the program was put on pause.
