Motorcycle driver dies in collision with vehicle

Investigators remain at crash scene and ask drivers to avoid the area

A motorcycle driver is dead after a serious crash Thursday morning in Winnipeg.
The bike collided with a car just before 4 a.m. at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Salter Street, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release.
The motorcyclist was taken in critical condition to hospital and later died.
No information about the age or gender of the motorcyclist is available at this time.
Investigators remain at the crash scene and ask drivers to avoid the area. Jefferson is closed from Powers Street to Aikins Street.
The traffic collision unit is investigating.
