Police investigate stabbing on Sargent Avenue

1 person sent to hospital in critical condition, Winnipeg police say

Police have closed part of Sargent Avenue Wednesday morning to investigate a stabbing.
The road between Toronto Street and Beverly Street was closed as of 6:30 a.m.
The assault happened just after 1 a.m. and sent a man to hospital in critical condition, where he remains, police said.

Blood could be seen on the sidewalk behind police tape.
No one has been arrested.

Police said there is no risk to the public but tweeted that they want people to avoid the area if possible.
