Highbury Avenue store owners say they're working with public health officials
An employee at the Huron Heights No Frills grocery store on Highbury Avenue has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a social media post, store owners at Darryll & Tracy's No Frills said the individual was last at work on May 12.
The store underwent additional cleaning and opened as usual Tuesday morning. Like most grocery stores, the No Frills has also increased sanitization practices and implemented social distancing rules.
This is not the only supermarket in London that has had an employee contract the virus. In April, two separate Superstores saw workers fall ill.
The Oxford Street East and the Oxford Street West locations of the Real Canadian Superstore both had cases.
Management at the No Frills has reached out to the Middlesex-London Health Unit and is working with them to trace people who might have come into contact with the employee.
