A man and a woman from Head of Jeddore, N.S., have been charged with first-degree murder after RCMP found a man's remains in the area on Thursday.
Police have identified the victim as Jason Douglas Murphy, a 45-year-old man who was from Head of Jeddore. His remains were found near West Jeddore Road.
A tip given to police early Thursday morning led to Murphy's remains.
Dana Matthew Wolfe, 48, and Kelly Ann Stewart, 38, were arrested without incident at a home on Faulkner Crescent. They were scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on Friday.

John Versteege, a West Jeddore resident, said there was a heavy police presence in the area on Thursday.
He drove past the scene and saw first responders load a stretcher with what appeared to be a body.
"Several people were concerned about the fact we had no information, we had no idea what was really going on," Vertseege, who has lived the area for 45 years, said.
"We felt technically we were in a fog — and I totally understand, not knowing how big this thing was"
Vertseege said he doesn't know the victim or either of the accused.
RCMP do not believe Murphy's death was a random act. They are turning to the public for more information.
