About Amanda Brugel
Voted one of Hello! Canada's 50 Most Beautiful, actor Amanda Brugel broke onto the world stage, playing the highly acclaimed role of Officer Parker in the Academy Award-winning feature film, Room. Her upcoming features include Darren, Like a House on Fire and and the action thriller Becky, opposite Kevin James. On the small screen, Brugel has forged an uncommon path, balancing award-wining roles in both comedic and dramatic series, including Orphan Black, for which Brugel won the 2015 Black Canadian Award for best actress. Since 2016, Brugel has dominated television screens in a number of critically acclaimed series, including her Canadian Screen Award-nominated turn in Workin' Moms, the CBC's hit comedy Kim's Convenience and Hulu's worldwide sensation The Handmaid's Tale, which she has been nominated for a 2020 Screen Actors Guild ensemble award. Most recently, Brugel has joined two new casts; TNT's dystopian drama Snowpiercer and USA Network's YA thriller Dare Me.
