The Ottawa police guns and gangs unit is investigating after a bullet hole was found inside a home on Meadowlands Drive Thursday evening.
The homeowner discovered the hole inside the house on the 1-100 block of Meadowlands. When officers arrived they found a shell casing outside the house.
Investigators said they don't know when the shooting took place, and have not discovered any possible victims.
On Friday, Airbnb confirmed the home is listed on its short-term rental site.
"The reported violence is abhorrent and has no place in the Airbnb community. We have removed the booking guest, are working to fully support the host through our $1 million Host Guarantee and have proactively reached out to Ottawa Police Services to offer our support in their investigation," an Airbnb spokesperson said.
It's not known whether the home was being rented at the time of the shooting.
Ottawa police want to speak with anyone with information about the incident.
