The west-central Winnipeg riding of Tuxedo has been around since 1981, and it's been a Progressive Conservative stronghold ever since.
The riding runs from the Assiniboine River in the north to Ridgewood Avenue and the CN Rivers rail line in the south. Its western boundary runs along William R. Clement Parkway, Roblin Boulevard and Laxdal Road, and its eastern boundary is the CP La Riviere rail line.
It includes the communities of Tuxedo and Elmhurst.
Its population is 21,930, according to the province's 2018 riding profile (compiled from the 2016 census).
The median age of the riding is older than the overall provincial median, at 45.8 in Tuxedo compared to 38.3 provincewide, according to the 2018 riding profile and the 2016 census. The census found the median household income in the area is $80,573.

- The riding has a greater percentage of residents aged 65 and older than the province in general, at 23.6 per cent in Tuxedo compared to 15.6 per cent provincewide, according to the 2018 riding profile and the 2016 census.
- Roughly 13 per cent of residents identified as visible minorities, the profile says.
- The median value of a home in the riding is $345,000, the profile says, and roughly 72 per cent of residents reported they own their home.

The nominated candidates for the 2019 election are:
- Marc Brandson (Liberal).
- Carla Compton (NDP).
- Kristin Lauhn-Jensen (Green Party).
- Heather Stefanson (Progressive Conservative).
Candidates become official when they meet criteria set out in the province's Elections Act, including providing a statement of disclosure. In Tuxedo, all candidates are official.
