Manitoba votes 2019: Radisson riding profile

The northeast Winnipeg riding of Radisson has been around since 1958, although its boundaries changed significantly in the most recent riding redistribution in 2018. It lost a majority of its northern territory to the nearby ridings of Transcona and Southdale.
The updated riding runs from Grassie Boulevard along Plessis Road and Gunn Road in the north to Dugald Road in the south. Its western boundary runs from Lagimodière Boulevard along Regent Avenue West to Molson Street, and its eastern boundary runs from the Central Manitoba Railway along Day Street, Kildare Avenue, Haka Street, Rosseau Avenue West and Plessis.
The riding includes the neighbourhoods of East Kildonan-Transcona, Harbour View South, Lakeside Meadows and Mission Gardens.
The riding's population is 21,640, according to the province's 2018 riding profile(external link) (compiled from the 2016 census).
The median age of the riding is roughly on par with the overall provincial median, at 38.5 in Radisson compared to 38.3 provincewide, according to the 2018 riding profile(external link) and the 2016 census(external link). The census found the median household income in the area is $89,649.

The riding was NDP for more than 25 years before voting Progressive Conservative in 2016.
