The south Winnipeg riding of Fort Richmond was created in 2008, and was first part of a general election in 2011.
The riding is bounded on the west by Waverley Street and on the east by the Red River. Its southern boundary is the Perimeter Highway and its northern boundary runs along Bison Drive, Pembina Highway and the park border south of Thatcher Drive.
The riding includes the neighbourhoods of Fort Richmond and Richmond West.
Its population is 23,635, according to the province's 2018 riding profile (compiled from the 2016 census).
The median age of the riding is younger than the overall provincial median, at 33.6 compared to 38.3 provincewide, according to the 2018 riding profile and the 2016 census. The census found the median household income in the area is $73,011.

- The riding has slightly fewer children 14 and younger than the province in general (15 per cent compared to 19 per cent) and slightly fewer adults 65 and older (13 per cent compared to just under 16 per cent), according to the province's 2018 profile and the 2016 census.

- Sarah Guillemard (Progressive Conservative).
- Tanjit Nagra (Liberal).
- Cameron Proulx (Green Party).
- George Wong (NDP).
Candidates become official when they meet criteria set out in the province's Elections Act, including providing a statement of disclosure. In Fort Richmond, all four candidates are official.
