A boy was&nbsp;hit by a float at the 2019 Cape Breton Pride Parade in Sydney, N.S.

Cape Breton Regional Police say he was struck by the rear wheel of the parade vehicle he was walking with, injuring his leg.

Police say his injury was not life-threatening. His age has not been released.

The incident happened Saturday near the front of the parade, shortly after it started.

Emergency crews responded and the parade was halted for about 20 minutes before resuming.

Cape Breton Regional Municipality councillors agreed to limit parades to four kilometres and to tighten the rules for organizers and entrants. A move to ban nighttime parades also passed, but not without opposition.

The city is trying to figure out how to make a fish ladder in Dartmouth's Sullivans Pond more duck friendly.

The ducklings appear to be unable to get back out of the fish gate once they've gone into it.

'Just panicking': Parking lot traffic delays ambulance's arrival at Dartmouth ER

A Dartmouth, N.S., woman is furious after an ambulance carrying her grandmother in the midst of a medical crisis was stalled arriving to the Dartmouth General Hospital on Thursday because it couldn't get into its parking lot.
