The 104 Harbord St. storefront of the Toronto-based CAFE, a chain of unlicensed cannabis dispensaries, was raided and shut down last week (July 9, 2019)0 by municipal licensing staff aided by Toronto Police — a regular occurrence for the business. As is typical for the chain, which has been raided more than a dozen times since cannabis legalization in October 2018, it reopened within hours.

Amherstburg being 'proactive' to prepare for possible cannabis retail store

Amherstburg is getting ready for a potential cannabis retail store in the next wave of licenses. 

Ottawa currently has three open legal pot shops and one to come in Barrhaven.

Members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police, the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team, Community Street Crime Unit and the LaSalle Police Force executed a search warrant on the 1500 block of Front Road.&nbsp;

Cannabis and cannabis-infused products were seized.&nbsp;

The two people arrested have been charged with possession for the purpose of selling.&nbsp;
