Woman arrested by police, charged with possession of stolen property, methamphetamine
The Saskatoon Police Service says a stolen bicycle was recovered this week thanks to the help of one of its off-duty officers.
On Tuesday, the officer saw a woman riding a bike believed to have been reported stolen several weeks before.
After placing a call, several on-duty officers spotted a 35-year-old woman and arrested her in the 600 block of Idylwyld Drive.
Police said the woman was also carrying methamphetamine.
The suspect has been charged with drug possession and possession of stolen property under $5000.
The Saskatoon Police Service would like to remind people about the Online Bicycle Registry, which records bicycle serial numbers and allows people to easily recover their vehicles.
