Saskatoon police say a vehicle&nbsp;may have run a stop sign at high speed, causing&nbsp;a four-vehicle collision that sent three people to hospital.

The collision happened around 8:30 a.m.&nbsp;Tuesday at Avenue F and 19th Street West.

Police say it appears one of vehicles that ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle. Two other vehicles were struck following the initial collision.

A man, 32, has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.&nbsp;

Two others, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The Saskatoon Fire Department said one of the injured needed to be extricated from their vehicle.

Traffic restrictions have now been lifted in the area.
