Halifax pedestrian dead after collision with truck

The victim was a 63-year-old woman from Halifax

A pedestrian died in a collision with a truck in Halifax Monday morning.
Halifax Regional Police closed Lady Hammond Road between Commission Street and Kempt Road to pedestrians and vehicles while they investigated. The road reopened at 1:45 p.m.
Police said the victim of the collision was a 63-year-old woman from Halifax. Her name is not being released.
The truck was being driven by a 53-year-old man from Dartmouth.
Police said the investigation was ongoing and no other details were being released at this time.
