Cape Breton Regional Police say they have found a man's body in a wooded area near a vehicle belonging to a man who has been missing since early August.

According to a release, officers&nbsp;responded to the wooded&nbsp;area near Woodbine Road&nbsp;in Caribou Marsh, N.S., Monday around 11:30 a.m. after receiving reports about a deceased person.&nbsp;

There was a parked vehicle near the body, which police confirmed belongs to&nbsp;Edwin Christmas of Membertou.&nbsp;

Police say they are waiting for a positive identification from the medical examiner's office to confirm&nbsp;the identity of the deceased.&nbsp;

Edwin Christmas is described as six feet tall with black hair and brown eyes. The Mi'kmaw man has been missing since the morning of Aug. 10.

Cape Breton Regional Police are asking the public for help locating a 39-year-old man from Membertou, N.S. who was last seen leaving his house last Wednesday.

Edwin Christmas has not been seen since last week. 

The release states there is nothing to indicate foul play.&nbsp;

Ocean reclaims 'Double-dip' pilot whale before scientists can do necropsy

Officials were unable to do a necropsy on a dead pilot whale off Cape Breton, N.S., but a Dalhousie University student obtained tooth and skin samples in hopes of learning the animal's age, health and family relationships.

Zwamborn says people need to care for whales by giving them a bit of space and limiting the amount of time that boats are near them.
