The homicide unit is investigating after a 61-year-old man was stabbed to death at a North York residential building Thursday morning, Toronto police said.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Parkwoods Village Drive and Victoria Park Avenue just after 7:30 a.m., police said.
Emergency crews found the victim unconscious and not breathing, said police spokesperson Katrina Arrogante, adding that they attempted CPR.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, paramedics said.
Police believe the victim lived at the building, said Insp. Jim Gotell.
Police did not provide information about a suspect, but Gotell said there is no threat to public safety at this time.
