London police are warning sex workers about a man who allegedly assaulted a woman before tasering her and stealing her vehicle early Monday morning.
Shortly after midnight, a man went to a home on Wellington Street near Simcoe Street after communicating with a woman through an online ad.
Police say the woman was assaulted and tasered before the man stole her vehicle and fled. Police say she suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a black man, about 5'8 and 200 lbs, between 25 and 40-years-old. He has short hair, is clean shaven and was wearing a black and grey toque and a black hooded sweatshirt.
The stolen vehicle is a 2019 red Toyota Rav4.
London police began notifying sex workers of potentially dangerous customers in 2018. It followed the killing of Josie Glenn, a London woman who worked in the sex trade.
