A man has died following a suspected knife fight in the Décarie Square shopping centre's parking lot early this morning.
Two men were found with multiple stab wounds in the parking lot, located in the Côte Saint-Luc annex, Montreal police said.
Both men were taken to hospital. The man who later died from his injuries was in his 50s, police said.
The life of the other man, believed to be about 35 years old, is not in danger.
Several people called 911 at around 6:45 a.m. to report the incident.
Montreal police spokesperson Caroline Chevrefils said it appeared the men stabbed each other.
This is the fourth homicide of the year on territory covered by the SPVM.
