Gastrointestinal illness is going around at Summerset Manor in Summerside, P.E.I., so Health PEI is asking visitors to stay away if they are feeling unwell to prevent the bug from spreading.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, precautions are being lifted at&nbsp;Wedgewood Manor in Summerside and at Beach Grove Home in Charlottetown where an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness has now cleared up.&nbsp;

In&nbsp;a written release Tuesday, officials stressed the importance of visitors sanitizing their hands before and after visiting long-term care facilities&nbsp;facilities.

The restrictions will be reviewed and updated when the situation changes, the release said.&nbsp;

Charlottetown man charged with wearing disguise with intent for alleged attempted robbery

A Charlottetown man has been charged with attempted robbery, breach of probation and wearing a disguise with intent in connection with an attempted robbery at Needs Convenience Store at 180 Brackley Point Road.

Charlottetown police said the man entered the store with his face covered and demanded some items but nothing was taken. Police released a video on their website in an effort to locate the suspect.

P.E.I. will continue standardized student testing

A consultant reviewing standardized testing used in P.E.I. schools has recommended the province continue the student assessment program in its present format.
