Want to be a better storyteller? Learn the craft

This writing tip is from Kat Main.
"Invest in learning the craft of writing. Read everything, write regularly, take a creative writing course, join a writers group, keep learning what works and what doesn't and then write some more. Humans are hard-wired for story. Biology has shaped us to be social creatures so we are highly attuned to character and plot. We understand ourselves and each other in the context of story. Our work as writers is to become the best storytellers we can be. It takes time to master the craft and to discover your own unique voice. And then we end up writing something that allows us to connect with others and expose something real and true and universal about the human experience."
