An upcoming HBO movie called Brexit: The Uncivil War stars Benedict Cumberbatch as British political advisor Dominic Cummings. In the movie, Cummings is the mastermind behind the Vote Leave campaign, the side that won the referendum that triggered Brexit two years ago.
In the real world, Brexit is still far from a done deal as people look into companies like Cambridge Analytica, which may have used Facebook to help sway the vote. That part of the story is stirring up controversy when it comes to this new film.
Peter Jukes is a screenwriter-turned-journalist who's been covering Cambridge Analytica and Brexit from the beginning. He joins Tom Power live from London to tell us why he believes it's too early to tell this story on screen. Brexit: The Uncivil War comes out in January on HBO.
