Arriving passengers were kept on board at least 12 planes Sunday evening and customs wasn't letting people through as police dealt with a suspicious package at Calgary International Airport.
The package was discovered around 4 p.m. at a terminal entrance. Calgary police were called in, and doors 13 to17 were shut down on both the arrivals and departures levels as a precaution.
Police said the package was a bag. It was removed and the lockdown was lifted at about 7 p.m.
