Teen killed in highway crash near Black Diamond

Police say Hwy. 7 expected to be closed for several hours
A 17-year-old girl was killed and two other people were sent to hospital in a three-vehicle crash near Black Diamond, Alta. on Friday afternoon.
RCMP say the teen was pronounced dead at the scene and another teen travelling in the same car was sent to hospital by ambulance.
STARS Air Ambulance also transported a woman in her 40s to hospital in serious, life-threatening condition.
Occupants in a third-vehicle involved in the crash — which happened on Highway 7 about two kilometres east of Black Diamond just after 3:30 p.m. — suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Traffic is being detoured as police investigate.
Black Diamond is about 60 kilometres southwest of Calgary.
