A World of Kindness, written by the editors of Pajama Press, asks, 'Are you kind?' and then, through simple but thought provoking questions, goes on to demonstrate what kindness means in practice. What makes it truly unique is that the stunning art is by nine very different illustrators, although it still flows seamlessly from page to page. I have a copy put away as a Christmas gift for my one year old granddaughters, but first spent a happy evening exploring it with my parents, finding more depth, detail and discussion the longer we looked — and continually changing our minds about the artwork we most coveted. That 90-year age range seems a good reason to choose it as my favourite for the year." ​
