Man dies boating on Bow River south of Calgary

Police, fire department and EMS alerted to missing boater around 12:30 p.m. Thursday
A man died Thursday while boating on the Bow River just south of Calgary.
Emergency crews were alerted around 12:30 p.m. that a boater had gone missing.
Okotoks RCMP, Foothills Regional Fire Department and EMS responded to the call and the fire department used their water rescue equipment to locate the man downstream.
STARS air ambulance was dispatched to airlift the man to Foothills hospital in Calgary, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are not releasing the man's identity.
