Power has now been restored to more&nbsp;than 2,200 Islanders in eastern P.E.I., says Maritime Electric.

When technicians were working at the&nbsp;Dingwells&nbsp;Mills substation Tuesday morning, they saw that a piece of equipment was broken following&nbsp;a copper theft&nbsp;there recently,&nbsp;spokesperson Kim Griffin said.

The outage started mid-morning Tuesday. Power was restored around 5 p.m.
