Police ask public for help to identify woman found dead in Behchoko shed fire

Police are asking the public to report any women missing from the community

A woman found dead in Behchoko, N.W.T. — after emergency personnel responded to a shed fire over the weekend — has still not been identified, RCMP say Monday.
Police were called to help the local fire department at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday. Officers arrived to find the shed in flames, according to an RCMP press release Saturday.
The woman was later found dead in the shed, which was on residential property.
The territory's coroner service has not released the cause of the woman's death.
Police are asking the public to report any missing women among friends, relatives or acquaintances to help with their investigation.
The territory's coroner service, office of the fire marshal, and RCMP are investigating.
