Osgoode voters will have to choose from among five candidates in this election, including the incumbent and two people who ran against him in 2014.

In 2014, George Darouze won with 21 per cent of the vote in an 11-way race to replace retiring longtime councillor Doug Thompson.

Now, there are four other candidates looking to oust Darouze:

Candidates who did not provide a website when they registered do not have links to their campaigns.

Scharfe and Sheldrick also ran in 2014. Tysick, meanwhile, is vying for a council seat after spending the spring campaigning unsuccessfully to be MPP of the Carleton riding under the Ontario Party banner.

Osgoode is a rural ward that includes the villages of Greely, Metcalfe, and its namesake, Osgoode. This past term, rural residents were furious at having to start paying a fee for storm water services. Ditches remain an issue for candidates, along with roads. City council also recently approved the Hard Rock Casino's $318-million plan to expand its casino at the Rideau Carleton Raceway in the ward.
