When Stephen Blais ran for council in 2010 he promised to stay on for only two terms, but in December he announced he's running again.

The two candidates hoping to unseat him this time are:

Cumberland is Ottawa's most eastern ward. It has rural villages, such as Vars, Navan and its namesake Cumberland, but also includes the growing suburb around Trim and Innes roads with its popular Millenium Park. Two different lifestyles mean the ward councillor deals with issues related to rural life and urban development. It will also be home to Amazon's new fulfillment centre on Boundary Road.
