Riley Brockington(external link), who won the seat in October 2014 with 36 per cent of the vote, is hoping to keep it for another four years.
The three other candidates who'd like to unseat him are:
Community safety is a perennial issue for the Carlington area of River Ward. On the far northeast corner of the ward, at the Central Experimental Farm, the Ottawa Hospital is beginning the enormous project of building a new Civic campus. And, at Mooney's Bay, residents are looking to finally get a new beach-side pavilion to replace one that was built in the 1960s.
