Going up against Diane Deans in Gloucester-Southgate

4 candidates looking to oust the current councillor
Diane Deans is looking to hold on to her council seat for the seventh time in a row in Gloucester-Southgate.

Deans was first elected in November 1994 (pre-amalgamation) and since then she has been at the table for six consecutive terms.
In the last election she won about 56 per cent of the vote.
This time around there are four other candidates hoping to end her reign in Gloucester-Southgate:
Gloucester-Southgate and neighbouring Alta Vista ward have been trying to deal with gun violence in and around Walkley Road. The ward also includes South Keys and the airport, and as with many wards, candidates are pointing to roads and traffic as big priorities.
