Sheree Fitch is a Nova Scotia-based poet and novelist. She also works as an advocate for literacy education. She runs a seasonal book store called Mabel Murple's Book Shoppe & Dreamery in River John, N.S.
Fitch is the author of several children's books, including Mabel Murple, and young adult novels, like The Gravesavers. She received the Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People in 2000. While Fitch is known for her work in children's literature, she has also authored poetry books, including the 1993 collection In This House Are Many Women, and novels for adults, including Kiss the Joy as it Flies, which was shortlisted for the Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour in 2009.
Her most recent children's book is Everybody's Different on Everybody Street, a book about mental health and showing compassion to others.
