Donna Morrissey is a Halifax-based novelist.
She debuted with the 1999 novel Kit's Law. In 2016, Morrissey published The Fortunate Brother, which won the 2017 Arthur Ellis Awards for Excellence in Canadian Crime Writing and the 2017 Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award. She is also the author of The Deception of Livvy Higgs, Sylvanus Now, What They Wanted, Downhill Chance and the children's book Cross Katie Kross, illustrated by her daughter Brigitte Morrissey.
