Caroline Pignat is an Irish-Canadian novelist and teacher. She was born in Dublin and raised in Ottawa.
Her book Greener Grass won the 2009 Governor General's Literary Award for young people's literature — text. In 2015, Pignat received a second Governor General's Literary Award for her free verse novel The Gospel Truth. She published a book of poetry for children entitled Poetree, illustrated by François Thisdale. Her other books include Shooter, Egghead, Unspeakable, Wild Geese and Timber Wolf.
