2 women die in highway crash southeast of Calgary

Collision happened on Highway 519 near Range Road 242
Two women are dead after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 519 southeast of Calgary Monday morning.
A Honda Civic was driving westbound on the secondary highway near Range Road 242 when it crossed into the eastbound lane, colliding with a GMC Sierra truck at about 7 a.m., said Fort Macleod RCMP in a release.
Both the driver and passenger of the Honda Civic were pronounced dead at the scene, about 175 kilometres southeast of Calgary.
The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
Police are investigating what caused the collision. It's not believed alcohol or drugs were factors.
Traffic on Highway 519 was temporarily rerouted while crews worked at the scene.
