The oldest resident at the Kensington Community Care Home celebrated his 102nd birthday on Wednesday.

Chester Banks, originally from the Montague area, marked the occasion surrounded by family and staff, who provided cake and balloons.&nbsp;

The Charlottetown flea market's oldest seller is about to turn 100. But Mary Waye says she'll keep selling as long as she can get a drive.

Mary Waye, who turns 100 in August, says she began collected dishes from soap and cereal boxes during the Depression in the 1930s.

He even received a certificate congratulating him on his longevity from the&nbsp;Kensington Police Service.

Chester Banks even had a special hat for the occasion.

Banks fought in WWII, but over the years he was also a mecahnic, farmer, store owner, and a lighthouse keeper.&nbsp;

In fact, his birthday cake had a picture of the Annandale Lighthouse where he once worked.

This year's celebrations were scaled back somewhat from last year's. That's when he&nbsp;took his first-ever trip across the Confederation Bridge — in a limo, no less.

"I never forgot that one," Banks said Wednesday.

The Kensington Police Service congratulated Banks on his birthday.

Bob Doiron loses WCB appeal over termination of benefits

Bob Doiron has lost his appeal in the P.E.I. courts over the termination of his Workers Compensation Board benefits. The Workers Compensation Board Appeals Tribunal said he wasn't cooperating with an ease-back to work plan but Doiron said he was in too much pain to work full-time. The Appeal Court decided the WCAT decision was reasonable.
