Chasing Canadian steeplechase record secondary for Matt Hughes

Canada's Matt Hughes continues to threaten his personal-best and national-record time, but he'll be focused on winning at Friday's 31st Herculis EBS Meeting in Monaco (CBCSports.ca, 2 p.m. ET) when he meets a tough Kenyan trio in the men's 3,000-metre steeplechase at 3:45 p.m.

Matt Hughes, of Oshawa, Ont., left, will have a chance to beat 2018 Commonwealth Games gold and silver medallists Conseslus Kipruto, centre, and Abraham Kibbiwot for the second time in a week in the men’s 3,000-metre steeplechase at the 31st Herculis EBS Meeting in Monaco on Friday at 3:45 p.m. ET (CBCSports.ca).
