Malcolm Gladwell has written five bestselling books of nonfiction: The Tipping Point, Blink, Outliers, What the Dog Saw and David and Goliath. In his writing, Gladwell uses anecdotes and a narrative voice to examine how societal structures shape human behaviour, including decision-making and the spread of ideas. He started writing for The New Yorker in 1996 and won the 2001 National Magazine Award for profiles for his piece on Ron Popeil. Gladwell grew up in Elmira, Ont. and now lives in the U.S.

Gladwell is also the host of the popular podcast Revisionist History, in which he investigates a misunderstood or overlooked event, person or idea from history.

Gladwell's next book, Talking to Strangers, is coming out in September 2019.
