Mariko Tamaki

Mariko Tamaki is an award-winning writer and illustrator. In 2016, she started writing for Marvel and DC Comics.
Tamaki is the author of Skim, (you) Set Me On Fire and This One Summer. Skim received the Doug Wright Award for Best Graphic Novel, the Ignatz Award and the Joe Schuster Award. This One Summer won the Eisner Award for best graphic album: new in 2015. Tamaki has twice been shortlisted for the Governor General's Literary Award for young people's literature — text.
In 2012, Tamaki received the Dayne Ogilvie Prize for LGBT Emerging Writers Honour of Distinction for her body of work.
