Police charge man with 2nd-degree murder in Marlborough slaying

Calgary police say a man has been charged in connection with a suspected homicide in Marlborough on the weekend.
At around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to reports of a disturbance at a home in the 100 block of Margate Place N.E., where officers found a man in medical distress.
Jason Dirks, 46, of Calgary, was taken to hospital in serious, life-threatening condition and later died.
On Thursday, police said Shane Robin Baum, 41, of Calgary was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Police have not revealed the cause of death.
