A 26-year-old Banff, Alta. man was killed Friday in a fall while climbing on Tunnel Mountain.
Emergency crews were called to the popular area near Banff — about 120 kilometres west of Calgary — about 12:30 p.m. Friday when the man fell while climbing along a rock face known as Le Soulier (The Shoe).
RCMP say the man stumbled and fell between 25 and 40 metres, suffering fatal injuries. A second climber who became stranded was also rescued.
